Stephen Thomas Nichols, 72, of Cross Roads, died, Saturday, September 26, 2020 at his home in Cross Roads.

Mr. Nichols was born on December 31, 1947 in Biloxi, MS to Larcus Shannon and Mary Ellen (Yates) Nichols. He was married to Jan Marie Lichti on March 28, 1987 in Howe, TX. He served in the United States Navy and retired as a mechanical designer/technical illustrator.

Steve was a devoted husband, caring stepfather and loyal friend, willing to patiently listen or lend a helping hand. Always ready for adventure, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and photography. Steve approached life with a unique sense of humor and will be remembered for his quick wit, storytelling, practical jokes and the cartoon drawings he created for friends.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Jan Nichols of Cross Roads; stepdaughter, Meg Kennedy of Reno, NV; two grandchildren, Jack Kennedy and Kyle Kennedy.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
