Stella Dempsey "Mom" Pruett died December 22, 2007 in Denton. She was born August 19, 1914 in Rosston to R. Z. (Bud) and Clara (Lankford) Dempsey.
On July 5, 1930 she married Charlie A. Pruett in Ardmore, Oklahoma,
he died August 16, 1997.
Stella was a member of
the
U.C.T. and Central Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Roselawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Dewey Lang,
officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until 2 P.M. prior to the funeral at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton.
Memorials may be made to either the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Stella is survived by a daughter, Cornelia Brockett, of Aubrey, two sons,
Robert and wife Louann Pruett, and Sherman and wife Sandra Pruett, of Denton
two sisters, Bonnie and husband Harrell White, of Decatur and Geneva Higgs Cearly of Denton, Nine Grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Charlie, three daughters, Janiece Pruett, Edna Pruett and Charlene Moss, three Grandsons, one Great Grandson, one sister and one brother.
