Sonya Lynn Strickland, 34, of Denton, died Wednesday January 11, 2012 at Plano Medical Center.
Sonya was born on October 22, 1977 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Garry John and Eva Mae (Bush) French. She was married to Bobby Strickland on September 19, 1998 in Aubrey.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday January, 13, 2012 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 14, 2012 at New Hope Baptist Church, 5800 S. Hwy 377, Aubrey, TX. Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey. Rev. Brandon Henderson will officiate the service.
Sonya is survived by her husband, Bobby Strickland of Denton; daughters, Hailey Strickland of Denton and Bethany Strickland of Denton; parents, Garry and Eva French of Fort Worth; sister, Leah Quertermous of Fort Worth; grandmother, Evelyn Turner of Danville, KY; and other extended family members and friends that loved her.
