Skylar Dean Harris, 25, of Denton, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.

Skylar was born on October 19, 1994 in Tulsa, OK to David E. Harris and Lanie Michelle (Parrish) Harris. He graduated from Guyer High School and enlisted in the United States Army. He worked as a supervisor for Elite Materials and Logistics.

Skylar is survived by his mother, Lanie Young of Highland Village; father, David Harris of Denton; grandmother, Katie Parrish of Tulsa, OK; grandfather, Lindell Parrish of Houston; sister, Payton Harris of Austin; brothers, Kyle Harris of Aubrey, Blake Harris of Highland Village; aunt, Bridget Henry of Tulsa, OK; uncles, David Parrish of Austin, John Parrish of Enterprise, AL; cousins, Brandy Manuel of Tulsa, OK, Brenda Mathia of Grove, OK. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Margie Harris and Donald Harris of Tulsa, OK and great grandparents, Dean Epps and Billie Epps of Ft. Smith, AR.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the funeral home. The funeral will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2020 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
