Sidney G. Owens, 68, born April 15, 1946 to Sidney Earl and Aletta Mae Vanlandingham Owens in Granite, OK., passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in Plano.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 Noon, one hour prior to the funeral service at 1:00 PM in the Prestonwood Baptist Church Chapel, in Plano; 6801 West Park Blvd., 75093. Interment will be at 3:00 PM, Laurel Land Cemetery, in Ft Worth.
He was an active member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano and loved his family.
Sidney is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Brenda Gay Owens; daughters, Odet Owens and Cortnee Reed; step-daughters; Christi Freeman and husband, Jay, and Lizzie Hutchings and husband, Logan; grandchildren, Cassidy Gray, Destinee Reed, Micah Owens, Parker Freeman and Presley Freeman; sisters; Carolyn Lively and husband, Glen, and Diana Sewell and husband, Steven; and numerous nieces and nephews.
