Sidney Scott Lenoir, 76, of Denton, TX passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on July 28, 2018. He was born on March 25, 1942 in Paris, TX to Sidney J. and Janice Crawford Lenoir. He served 8 years in the U.S. Air Force. Sid retired from GTE (Verizon) in Denton where he worked as a COE Installer. He married Carol Kapavik in Denton on December 23, 1989. He graduated from Paris High School. He is survived by his wife, Carol Lenoir of Denton; daughters, Tiffany Lenoir and Katie Lenoir of Kansas; Holly Decker of Denton; brother, Donald Lenoir and wife Keri Lenoir of San Antonio; grandchildren, Nolan and Audrey Decker; niece and nephew Megan and Michael Lenoir. He is preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Lenoir and his mother and father. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Denton Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 10:00AM at Denton Funeral Home with Dr. John Beck officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00PM at East Post Oak Cemetery in Blossom, TX.
