Shirley Jean Lauer, 88, of Krum, TX, died Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, TX.

Mrs. Lauer was born on July 25, 1931 in Peoria, IL to Lawrence and Mary Erma (Bishop) Marshall. She was married to Lyle Paul Lauer on September 13, 1947 in Peoria, IL. Lyle preceded her in death on November 22, 1985.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Janet Kincaid of Krum, TX, Linda Clinch of Glasford, IL, Nancy Allison of Pekin, IL; sister, Doris Schmeilski of Trivoli, IL; brother, Gary Kerkhove of Peoria, IL; grandchildren, Jade Howard, MeiLi Kincaid, Sarah Collins, Erin Noble, Emily Znaniecki; great-grandchildren, Gavin Connor, Roman Connor, Hope Connor, Leanna Noble.

Shirley enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her pet dogs. Her hobbies were bowling, bingo, arts and crafts, jigsaw puzzles, listening to 50's music, and shopping. Shirley was very much loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
