It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Sherry Diane Taylor, a beloved mother, artist, and friend. Sherry's life was filled with a vibrant passion for creativity, generosity, and love. She was a professional singer with a unique and captivating voice, a talented songwriter, and a recording artist whose music was cherished by many. She shared her gift on stages across the USA, from grand theaters to outdoor venues with thousands in attendance, leaving a lasting impression on all who heard her music.
Beyond her musical talents, Sherry was also a gifted oil painter, creating beautiful works of art that she lovingly gave as gifts to those she cared about. Her wit in conversation and her heart for others were immeasurable. Sherry was deeply charitable, dedicating her time and efforts to raising tens of thousands of dollars for nonprofits, churches, missionaries, and food banks across the world.
Sherry was a devoted mother to four beautiful daughters: Rene Brock of Fort Worth, Andra Hampton (Patterson) of Denton, Candy Taylor of Lake Worth, and Robbin Gunter of Runaway Bay, as well as one son, Todd Hampton of Shady Shores. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Beau Beau. She was unwavering in her love for her family, who brought her immense joy.
Her warmth and generosity touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Sherry will be laid to rest near her mother, Oma Lee Golden (Owen), and her father, Urel Paul Owen, at Crown Hill Memorial Park, Dallas, TX, just a few miles from where she grew up in the tight-knit community of Fields City.
