Sherry Diann (Faulkner) Frye, age 62, passed away on January 6, 2025, from an extended illness, surrounded by family and friends.

Sherry Diann Frye was born January 28, 1962, in Denton, Texas to Homer and Elizabeth Faulkner. She grew up in Denton and Sherman Texas. She worked as a medical/administrative assistant and operating room scheduler. In 1988 Sherry married David DeVeny, in turn gave birth their daughter, Shannon. They were divorced soon afterwards. In 1990, Sherry and Shannon moved to Arizona to be closer to her mother.

In 1995, Sherry met David Frye met in Cottonwood, Arizona, the two married in March 1996 and all became a happy family.

She is survived by her loving husband, David Frye, her daughter, Shannon Maurer, (Felipe Maurer), grandsons Ethan and Theo. Sisters Melissa Martin (Dan Martin) of Georgetown, Texas and Christy Taylor of Casa Grande, Arizona. Two nieces, a nephew, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father Homer Faulkner, mother Elizabeth Faulkner, brother Robert, and nephew Christopher Martin.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 am at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N.. Locust St. Denton, Texas 76201.
