Sherrie Lee Hill, age 65, of Burleson, Texas, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at her home in Burleson.
She was born February 10, 1949 in Denton, Texas to Edgar Lee Bodkins and Worthlene Hargrove Bodkins. She married George "Doug" Hill in December of 1975. She worked as a certified nurse's aide in Denton and in Environmental Services at Weatherford Hospital.
She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Watkins of Burleson; brothers-in-law, Tony Farris of Burleson, and Robert Hill of Denton; nephews, Robert Watkins of Arlington, Randy Watkins of Crowley; great-nephews, Dylan Watkins of Fort Worth, Randall Watkins of Crowley; great-niece, Danielle Bolin of Crowley; aunt and uncle, Allie and Charles Hargrove of Sherman; several cousins and a host of friends.
Sherrie was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Worthlene Bodkins; brother, James Edgar Bodkins; beloved daughter, Sheryl Leann Hill; and former husband, Doug Hill.
Sherrie never met a stranger and was a very loving and caring person. If you were lucky enough to have been in her care, you received the most loving, tender care possible. There could never be a gentler person taking care of you.
The family would like to thank Novus Hospice for all the care you gave Sherrie during these final weeks. We have never met a more wonderful staff. All of you are truly a blessing to your profession.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 4, 2014 in the chapel of Mulkey Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton.
