Scott Matthew (Matt) Darby of Lake Dallas was born April, 24,1965 in Dallas.
Matt left us sadly and unexpectedly on August 17, 2006, in Dallas, at the age of 41, from heart complications. He was ushered into heaven by his sister Brenda and his beloved dog Bear-Bear. It was joyous reunion…. The Angels sang on high and you could hear Jimmy Buffet's music playing loud. Just the way he liked it….. Matt is survived by his loving parents Roger and June Darby of Shady Shores; brother, Greg Darby of Corinth and brother, Mark, wife Cheryl and niece, Destiny Darby of Houston., aunts and uncles, Patti and Charles Simmons and Marcia and Glen Eastman and cousins, Steve, Mike, Patrick and Dennis. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Flower Mound and was a treasured friend and valued employee for 15 years at the "Midway Point" in Dallas.
Matt was a beloved friend, son and brother and will be missed more than words can express. All those who knew and loved him will remember that twinkle in his eye, his warm smile, his laughter, his kind heart and his tremendous love for animals. Matt was an organ donor, his life he gave so another could live. This is the way he lived his life, unselfishly. Memorial and prayer services will be at 4pm on Wednesday August 23, 2006 at Faith Lutheran Church, 6000 Morriss Road in Flower Mound, Texas 75028. (972) 539-1031. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation in Matt's name be made at the church for the "Faith Lutheran Prayer Garden."
