Sandra Gail Arce

On Sunday, the 27 ^th of March 2022, at the age of 69, Sandra "Sandy" Gail Arce of Edinburg, Texas entered into the presence of the Lord where she was reunited in heaven with her loving parents.

Sandy was born on the 25 ^th of December 1953 in Houston Texas to Bobby Joe and Juanita Meritt. She was the third of seven children and enjoyed a close bond with her siblings. On the 10 ^th of February 1993, she married Alfredo Arce of Edinburg, Texas and enjoyed 27 years of marriage.

Sandy was a devoted follower of Christ—a faithful woman who loved Jesus. Her faith was strong and steadfast. Because of it, she found joy in helping others and was always quick to forgive. She loved dearly and deeply, touching the lives of all of those who knew her.

She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator. Surviving Sandy is her beloved husband, Alfredo Arce; six siblings: her sister and her husband, Vaunda and Rick Chapman; her sister, Gayla Meritt, her sister and her husband, Rebecca Meritt and Mike Fournier; her sister, Joveda Meritt, her brother and his wife, Xernie and Wendy Meritt, and her sister Carrie Meritt; three children: Shadow Meritt, Christopher Palkovics, and Bianca Meritt; five grandchildren: Montana Corpus-Guzman, Meritt Martinez, Seraphina Meritt, Audrey Meritt, and Brooklyn Meritt; and two great-grandchildren: Harleigh Hunt and Quinn Hunt as well as her many nephews and nieces.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2022 at the funeral home. The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, April 2 ^nd at 10 a.m. at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home located at 705 N. Locust Denton, Texas 76201.
