Mr. Samuel Reed McMahan, 96, of Denton Texas died Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Pilot Point Care Center. Mr. McMahan was born on October 26, 1926 in Frisco Texas to Steve and Gertie McMahan. He was married to Mary Ann Allen on June 2, 1946. He was a member of Gateway United Baptist Church, Denton Texas.

Reed is survived by his sons, Sammy David and wife Barbara, Allen Wayne and wife Anne and daughter, Deborah Ann Barbara and husband Joe.

Grandchildren:

Andy McMahan, Marlena Gunter and husband Steve, Sammy McMahan and wife Valerie, Eric Bissinger and Vincent Barbara and John Gaudenti.

Great-Grandchildren:

Taylor Workman and husband Brent, Trevor Gunter, Dylan McMahan, Jordyn McMahan, Austin and Logan McMahan, Ben Bissinger Brandon Hoffman and Brianne Bissinger, Sophia, Josie and Luca Barbara.

Great Great-granddaughter:

Noah Rea.

A graveside service will be held Thursday June 1, 2023 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas at 10:00 am.
