He is preceded in death by his beloved Bappaw, Glenn Phillips, and Nanno, Ann Phillips, of Heber Springs, AR; grandmother, Jeanne B. Moore, of Arlington, TX; an uncle, Danny Phillips, of Heber Springs, AR.
He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Jamie Hahn, of Denton, TX and his entire world, his sons, Jameson and Rhett Hahn of the home.

Sam was a graduate of Heber Springs High School Class of 2002 and attended Arkansas Tech University. He was employed by Good Time Action Games in Dallas Texas and was loved and respected by his work family.
Samuel was the best possible husband and father, involved in and enjoying every aspect of raising his sons. He provided a beautiful beginning for them. He was proud of Jameson's yellow belt in Taekwondo and Rhett's exceptional basketball skills.
Sam's goodness and strength of character were seen early in life in his love for and protection of his little brother, Dan. He welcomed his cousin, Breanna, into our family and loved her like a little sister. He maintained relationships formed in early childhood and loved the Munywoki, Heid, and Bova families. He and his high school friend, Drew, were very close. He shared many happy times with his cousin, Justin, in Dallas.
He loved music and music festivals. Float Fest was an annual event for Sam and his best friend, Jose, and they had a trip to Bonaroo planned for a special 40 th birthday celebration this summer.
Sam excelled at and loved computers. He was our 'go to guy' for anything tech. He went out of his way to help and teach many. He was generous with his time and so patient. He excelled at video games and passed his love of gaming to his nephew, Carter, giving him a good advantage over others his age.
Sam blessed us all with his presence and his absence is unimaginable for us.
