IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sally Ann
Morgan
January 5, 1933 – February 16, 2021
Sally Ann Morgan was born on January 5, 1933 to Everett and Betty Clifford in Coleman, TX. She passed away on February 16, 2021.
Sally grew up in Coleman, Texas and graduated from Coleman High School in 1950. She entered Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1954. Later, Sally obtained a Library Science certification from Sul Ross State University.
While at Hardin-Simmons, Sally met her future husband, Billy J. ("Bill") Morgan. They married in 1954 while Bill was in the Army and were married 64 years. After graduating from Hardin-Simmons, Sally taught school in Abilene, TX until Bill returned from the Army and completed his degree. In 1956, Bill and Sally moved to Seminole, TX and began teaching school. Over her 32-year career, Sally served as an elementary school teacher and later as an elementary school librarian. Upon retirement in 1993, Bill and Sally traveled widely, taking three cruises, a trip to Alaska, and numerous trips to Branson, Missouri, one of their favorite destinations. To be near grandchildren, Bill and Sally moved to Denton, TX in December 2001.
Bill and Sally were members of First Baptist Church, Seminole, TX for 45 years and members of First Baptist Church, Denton, TX for 17 years. Never one to seek the spotlight herself, Sally's mission was evident through her quiet dedication to family. She was a supportive wife for Bill, who in addition to his career taught the Bible for over 50 years and served as a deacon. She was also a caring daughter, sister, and mother.
Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Sally is survived by her brother, Bill Clifford and his wife Pam, a daughter, Kendra Morgan Kennedy and her husband, William Kennedy and their children, Rick and his wife Lisa, Will and Claire. The Bible verse she spoke most often as guidance is dedicated by the family to the loving memory of Sally Ann Morgan:
"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:32
The family will have a private family gathering at the funeral home. Sally will be interred privately in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery along side her late husband Billy Morgan who passed away in August of 2018.
in lieu of flowers the family suggests people consider donating to First Baptist Church, Denton, TX missions or foreign students programs or to CASA of Denton County, an advocacy group for abused and neglected children.
