Ruthie E. Parks, age 100, passed away June 7, 2009 in Lewisville, TX.  Ruthie was born September 29, 1908 in Richardson, Texas to Clarence Wesley and Martha O'Dessa Marshall Simmons.  She married Julian B. Shaw who preceded her in death in 1938.  She married Roy H. Parks who also preceded her in death in 1970.

She is survived by a daughter, Patsy Plumlee, a granddaughter and a great-grandson.

A graveside service will be held, 3:00 P.M., Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Old Kit Cemetery in Irving, Texas.
