Ruth Madaras, 90, of Denton, slipped quietly into heaven on Friday, May
21, 2010. There she joins Johnny, her husband of 50 years. Carriage House
Assisted Living was her home for the past nine years.
She was born in New Jersey in 1919 to Caroline and John, and married her
beloved John in 1941.
Ruth leaves behind a much loved sister, Marion Repke. She is also
survived by her daughter and son in law, Eileen and David Duffield of
Denton, and her son and daughter in law, Ron and Karen Madaras of
California. Ruth deeply loved and cherished her four granddaughters:
Kristin Klembara, Kim Terrell, Jennifer Sommers, and Susie Madaras. Great
Gramma was also blessed with five adorable great grandchildren: Matthew
5, Hannah 3, Ella 3, Sophie 3, and Caroline four months. She also leaves
behind nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of dear friends.
Ruth was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church where she
participated in many groups and activities. She also volunteered at
Denton Regional Medical Center for many years in the gift shop. Her
strength was her love of people, always trying to please, to help, and to
serve. She will be remembered as kind, gentle and caring.
Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-6:00 PM at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home
in Denton. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St.
Andrew Presbyterian Church in Denton. Interment will follow at Restland
of Dallas.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Andrew Presbyterian
Church or to research on Alzheimer's and dementia.
