Ruth Boutwell, 85, of Denton passed away December 22, 2009 at Lake Forest Good Samaritan Health Care Center. Ruth was born June 22, 1924 in Ladonia, Texas to John and May )Wells) Stephenson. On February 14, 1947 she married Ray Boutwell in Hunt County, Texas. She was a Bookkeeper for Acme Brick, the City of Denton, and Neblett Insurance. She was preceded in death by her husband, paents, brother, Jack, and sister, Sarah Rose. She is survived by a sister, Carolyn Stephenson of Wolfe City, Texas and the Derv and Wanda Hudgens extended family that she adopted.

Visitation will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Saturday, December 26,2009 from 9-10 A.M. Services will be at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Wolfe City. Internment will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
