Obituary

Ruby Nell (Doe) Merritt, 74 of Denton, died Monday, April 4, 2005 at her home. She was born June 26, 1930 in Lake Dallas to Hubert and Pearl Caroline (Goodwin) Hilliard. She was married to Thomas Merritt, in 1998 in Denton. She attended Public Schools and was a member of the Friendship Church. She was a Beauty Operator.

A funeral service will be held at 2 P. M. Thursday, April 7, 2005 at the Friendship Church, 3813 W. University Dr. with Rev. John Stout, officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2005. Pallbearers will be her Nephews.

Mrs. Merritt is survived by her Husband Thomas Merritt, of Denton, a daughter, Tina Ann Hammett, of Sanger, Sons, Gary Hammett, of Aubrey, and Floyd Eugene Hammett, of Justin, step daughters, Rhonda Stanley, of Channelview, LaDonna Johnson, of Hubbard, and Pamela Moore, of Shady Shores, and step sons, Bill Merritt, of Lewisville, and James Merritt, of Conway, Arkansas three Sisters, Bertha Hampton, of Lewisville, Josie Gaw, of Salton Sea Beach, California and Iona Woolsey, of Sherwood Shores, and a brother Billy Floyd Hilliard, of Denton. Twelve Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren.
