Rozalia Damacus went to be with her Lord, Thursday, February 11, 2010 at home surrounded by her family. Rozalia was born on March 29, 1940 to Ioan and Aurora Slav in Aciuta, Romania. Her parents were very strong Christians. Rozalia loved to go to church and to read her Bible. She married Nicolae Damacus, a very strong believer himself, in 1958. He was her strongest supporter throughout her life. In 1960, God blessed them with a wonderful daughter, Rodica and in 1996 Rozalia and Nicolae came to America to join their beloved family. On June 3rd, 2009, Rozalia was taken to the emergency room at the Lewisville Hospital. She was later diagnosed with colon cancer. She spent the summer in the hospital and two rehabilitation centers as her family cared for her and supported her all the way. A few days before Thanksgiving she came home and was improving. Her family was very happy to have her home again. On December 19th, 2009, she attended the wedding of her niece, Christina. It was such a blessing to have her among us. God has listened to our prayers. After a month, her health began to fail but her faith grew stronger and at 8pm, on February 11th, 2010, her Lord called her home.

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
All's happy, all so bright!
There's perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief are over;
Every restless tossing past;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Nieces: Christina and her husband, James Leonhardi and Emanuela Ban
Nephew: John Michael Ban.
