Obituary

Roy Franklin Godi, Sr. 89, of Denton, died Thursday, November 20, 2008 in Sherman.  He was born December 28, 1918 in Pilot Point, TX to Clarence Thomas and Julia Lee (Mulkey) Godi. He was married to Mildred Almitta Milne on November 3, 1945 in Denton, and she died May 5, 2003.   He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.  He was a Sharpshooter and Scout, and a Purple Heart Recipient.  He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God Church.  He was a Painter, Security Guard, and established the Godi Exterminating Service in 1968.

A funeral service will be held at 3 P.M. on Saturday, November 22, 2008 I n the Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God Church, 1101 Audra Lane, Denton, with Rev. Randy Snow and Rev. Terry Johnson, officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Godi is survived by two daughters, Joyce Lowry, of Sherman,  and Mona Bridges, and husband, Weldon, of Denton, and son Roy F. Godi, Jr. and wife, Betty, of Denton, a Sister, Geneva Wheeler, of Whitesboro, Grandchildren, Jennifer Bridges, Almitta Lowry, Lawanna Lowry, Jonathan Lowry, Sean Godi, and Ashlyn Godi, and Great Grandchildren; Amber, Autumn, and Adam, Stinchbomb, Karly and Kate Lowry.
