Obituary

Roscoe Nolan Denison, age 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 4, 2008, in Denton, Texas.

He was born August 24, 1918 in Bolivar, Texas to Asa Denison and Orless Vandeventer Denison. Roscoe married Jean Watson on December 1, 1940 in Lewisville. She preceded him in death on September 4, 2006. Nolan served in the United States Navy and the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a member of Lake Country Bible Church in Mineola, Texas and worked for Southwestern Bell for 35 years.

He is survived by his loving family; daughters, Linda Pampolina, Sue Reeves, Ruthie Stivers and Janene Becker; son, Paul Denison; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; sister, Betty McDonald and brother, Everett Denison.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2009, at Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Garden in Mineola. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. The family requests memorial contributions made to the Lake Country Church in Mineola or to Jack's Place in Euless.
