IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosalie Eleanor
Koenig
January 20, 1943 – July 14, 2021
Dear wife and mother of her children, Rosalie Koenig, passed away peacefully in the hospital on July 14, 2021, at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband Floyd Koenig and children: DeLynn Phillips of Adairsville, Georgia, who is married to Gary; and Karyn Barnett of Argyle, Texas, who is married to Kyle; 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in her death by her father, Joseph Lux, and mother, Eleanor Lux.
Rosalie was born the third of three children to Joseph and Eleanor Lux near Detroit, Michigan. Her father moved the family around several times in her young life. After graduating from high School in San Luis Obispo, California, she moved to Fresno, California where she entered college for secretarial training. While in college, she met her future husband, who was stationed at Castle Air Force Base in Merced, California. After marriage, she and her husband lived near Atwater, California. The Lord blessed them with two beautiful daughters.
After her husband was discharged from the Air Force, Rosalie and Floyd moved their family to Dallas, Texas. She and her husband attended the Arlington Baptist College, in Arlington, Texas. After graduating from College, Rosalie and her husband moved their family to Wooster, Ohio, where he pastored the Wooster Baptist Temple for 46 years, and she worked as his secretary. She and her husband both retired in 2018 and moved to Sanger, Texas.
Rosalie was a dedicated Christian who cared for her family and served her Lord faithfully. Her life is summed up by the writer of Proverbs, when he said, "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, praiseth her. Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised."
