Ronald Lee Rupert, 78, of Corinth, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 18th, 2024. He was born on April 30th, 1945, in Brownsville, Texas to the late Bill and Elizabeth Rupert. He spent his youth in Independence, Missouri, where he graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1963. He married Cheryl Koerner in August of 1967. He graduated from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri in 1968, served honorably as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force from 1969 to 1975, obtained a Master of Science from Troy State University, and graduated Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1981. He worked as a Chiropractor in Denton, Texas for over 16 years then held the position of Dean of Research at Parker University until his retirement in 2013. He enjoyed sailing his J105 on Lake Lewisville, watching football (especially his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs), cooking and grilling, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved dogs but was especially fond of Golden Retrievers. Those close to him know of his ability to tell wonderful stories, have deep and meaningful discussions on life, and also tell the silliest of jokes.
He is survived by his son, Joe Rupert and wife, Jennifer; his daughter Natalee Bentley Ramirez and husband, Nick; his grandchildren, Luke Bentley, Amelia Rupert, Lillian Rupert, and Benjamin Ramirez; his sister, Peggy Gianino; his brother, William Rupert and wife, Debbi; many nieces and nephews and their children; and his Golden Retriever, Abby. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Teresa Anne Coldwell; his brother-in-law Terry Coldwell; and his brother-in-law Sam Gianino.
The family will be holding a private celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VNA Hospice in his memory.
