On Saturday, December 1, Ronald Walter Prachniak passed away at his home in Frisco, Texas. He was born December 24, 1943 in Youngstown, Ohio to Walter and Isabel Marie Wise Prachniak. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his younger brother, Steven Prachniak. Ron is survived by his wife, Carol and by his children, Kathy Prachniak Bean and Steven Prachniak. Ron also leaves behind a son-in-law, Mike Bean and a daughter-in-law, Cheri Prachniak, as well as four grandchildren, Teddy, Rachel, and Macie Bean and Katie Prachniak. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Rosemary Souturas and by his brother-in-law James Souturas and his family. Although Ron had a lengthy illness, his family will still remember him as a loving husband and father, who enjoyed being around friends and family.

Ron was proud of his accomplishments and was blessed to have spent his career in a field he was passionate about and enjoyed, working as a systems engineer for 23 years at Storage Technologies. Ron served our country beginning in 1962, where he trained extensively in electronics and maintenance of anti submarine surveillance equipment, as well as specific air craft systems and trained as an air crewman in route to his permanent duty at Patrol Squadron 50(VP50). While in the Navy Ron was assigned to stations throughout Japan, Vietnam, and other countries, and flew P5M's for the Navy.

Ron was an incredible man whose sense of humor and fun loving attitude will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2007, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel in Lewisville.
