Ronald Walter Pearson, a Denton resident for over thirty years, affectionately known as
"Pop", went to his heavenly home today, October 11, 2011 at the age of 69.
This kind man of faith is survived by his wonderful bride of forty-nine and a half years,
Sylvia K. Davis. They met in Borger, Texas and married on the island of Guam while he
served in the United States Navy. He is also survived by his children Robin Herrington
(Stewart Herrington) of Richardson, Rhonda Tovar (Narcisso Tovar) of Lewisville and John
"Sparky" Pearson (Carrie Pearson) of Argyle. He's also survived by his three
loving sisters Joan Dwyer of Coeur d' Alene, Judy Pearson of Coeur d' Alene, Marti Monti
of Phoenix, and and his loved sister-in-law Sue Davis of Wimberley. He is also survived
by his nieces Amy Schneider, Shannon O'Brien and Lindsay Monti as well as his nephews
Todd Dwyer and Derek Monti. He also leaves behind many beloved cousins and friends.
Pop was a friend to anyone who needed one. His pride and joy were his grandchildren:
Katelynn Pearson, Will Pearson, Kacie Herrington, and Grant Pearson, who know beyond a shadow of a doubt, Pop's Gone Fishin' in Heavenly Lakes!
The Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Tuesday October 18, 2011 at the Denton Bible Church Chapel Denton. The Dr. Steve Bezner will conduct the service. Burial will follow at 1: 00 pm at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery Dallas. Visitation will be 6 to 7 pm Monday October 17, 2011 at the Funeral Home.
