Obituary
Robert \"Bob\" W. Rogers, 66, of Aubrey, died Saturday, October 15, 2005 at Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born May 11, 1939 in Chelsea, Michigan to Robert Charles and Irma Anne (Knack) Rogers. He graduated from Northport, Michigan High School, and Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Now Texas State University, with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences, Accountant Certificate, Durham Business College, San Antonio, Retired from the United States Air Force. He was married to Sarah Grisham on October 7, 1961, in Wichita Falls, she died January 24, 1979, then he married Kathy Mahurin on April 20, 1996 in Shady Shores. He was a member of the New Life Church of Shady Shores, where he was a Senior Deacon, and Editor of the Monthly Newsletter, and a Member of the Star of the West Masonic Lodge #33 in Minot, South Dakota, Scottish Rite and Shrine. He was also Director/Treasurer of Triangle Terra-Genesis, of Aubrey, and Board Member/Treasurer of Denton Blast Football Team.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, October 20, 2005 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Limas, officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Elm Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 6 until 8 P.M. Wednesday, October 19, 2005. Pallbearers will be Bobby Rogers, David DelCastillo, Terry Leyba, Scott Anderson, Tim Grisham, and James Grisham. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of the New Life Pentecostal Church of God, P. O. Box 50386, Denton, TX 76206.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife Kathy Rogers of Aubrey, Sons Robert and wife Peggy Rogers, of Radcliff, Kentucky, David and wife MeLaine DelCastillo, of Quincy, Illinois, Tommy Calk, of Aubrey daughters, Louise Mahurin, of Aubrey, Katie Sue Young, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Desie Brady, of Michigan. Grandchildren, Sara and Brandon Young, Marco and Christian DelCastillo, Rebecca Rogers, Chase and Gloria Mahurin, Sisters, Gladys Kilgore, of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Margaret Thompson, and Cora Anne Waukazoo, of Travers City, Michigan Mothers in law Jean Lunsford, of Aubrey, and Margie Grisham, of Wichita Falls.
