Robert Varnell White "Bob", age 82, of Lake Dallas, TX, passed away, February 21, 2010 at his home. He was born September 3, 1927 in Wills Point, TX to John and Margaret (Dean) White. He married Laura Jean Roberts on December 20, 1952. She preceded him in death on April 3, 2008. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a long time resident of Lake Dallas and joined the Lake Dallas Church of Christ in 1974. Bob was a very compassionate and giving man always willing to help those in need. He is survived by daughter, Rhonda Duncan and husband Keith of Scurry, TX; five sons, Rodney, Rickey, Richard, Ralph and Randell all of Lake Dallas; brothers, John White and wife Billie of Idalou, TX, Doug White and wife Billie of Schertz, TX, Jerry White of Wichita, KS, Dennis White and wife Elaine of Plainview, TX; sisters, Annette Barcheers of Abernathy , TX, Joyce Reese of Wellington, KS and Doris Kendrick and husband Ken of Wellington, KS; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; also survived by extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his mom and dad (John and Margaret); two brothers, Bill E. White and Raymond Dell White and one granddaughter, Brittany M. White. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville. A visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the funeral home.
