Robert D. Sheehan, age 77, passed away Monday morning. Robert was born in Tacoma, Washington February 3, 1931 to Emmett and Florence Sheehan. He proudly served his country during the Korean War serving in the United States Navy. Robert is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ethel Scammon; five daughters, Elizabeth Haney of Amarillo, Maureen Kercher of Tacoma, WA, Rosemary Gillespie of Flower Mound, Cynthia Cole of Albion, PA and Joanna Schumacher of Arlington; son, David Sheehan of Denton; sister, Phyllis Roques of Copalis Beach, WA; 21 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. A visitation will be held from 6pm to 9pm on Wednesday evening, December 10, 2008 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, Lewisville. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 6:30PM, Thursday evening at Grace Baptist Church, Flower Mound with son-in law, Pastor John Gillespie officiating. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Roberts love for his family, they have requested memorials be directed to the Family Life Center at Grace Baptist Church.
