IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert George
Geer
July 12, 1934 – April 1, 2017
Bob Geer, prominent horseman, friend, and family man, lost his ten-year battle with Alzheimer's on Saturday morning. When the end came, he was at home, surrounded by his family.
A bigger than life personality, Bob never met a stranger. With a cheerful smile and charismatic personality, he loved people, all kinds of people, regardless of their background or station.
He loved his horses—so much so that they eventually became his career. During his years of managing ranches and breeding operations it can easily be said that both the quarter horse and thoroughbred industries have the fingerprints of Bob Geer all over them.
And most of all, Bob loved his family and they loved him. Survived by his devoted wife, Marge of nearly 61 years, and his two sons, Tyler and Gary, and one grandson, Hunter. He left no question in anyone's mind that they were first and foremost in his heart. Being one of the true family men, Bob's favorite times were those spent with his loved ones, either around the table, at sporting events, or simple quiet evenings at home.
