IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Edwin
Butcher Iii
May 18, 1985 – November 9, 2023
Robert Edwin Butcher III, 38, of Fort Worth, passed away on November 9, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Robert was born in Northridge, California on May 18, 1985, to Robert Edwin Butcher Jr and Angela Butcher.
When Robert was six years old, he moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he was raised over the next two decades.
While Robert lived in Colorado Springs, he learned how to ski and cook at a very early age. He spent a lot of free time exploring the Colorado Rocky Mountains during hunting and hiking excursions as well as skiing at several mountain resorts. Breckenridge was Robert's favorite place to ski.
Out of all the fun things Robert did in Colorado, his biggest desire was to excel in cooking fine food. From a very young age, he slowly learned kitchen skills and eventually became a master cook. His first big break was at Cheesecake Factory in Las Vegas, Nevada. Next, he had another opportunity at Macaroni Grill in Escondido, California, Truluck's in Southlake, Texas, and last, Eddie V's in Fort Worth, Texas.
Robert loved reading and studying his John MacArthur Study Bible, and had a chance to read through the entire Bible. His love for God was apparent in his love to help others overcome their challenges in life as well. As an intern at the Adult and Teen Challenge Center of Azle,Texas, he spent his time sharing his love for Jesus to others while blessing others with his fine cooking skills.
Robert had a chance to sing in the Hope Church choir in Las Vegas, Nevada for 5 years, recorded 3 music cd's as a 2nd tenor, and participated in numerous other music ministry events as a choir member such as singing in the Southern Baptist Convention in Phoenix, Arizona in 2012. He started attending church at First Baptist Dallas on October 1,2023, and every weekend for 3 weeks straight. He was so moved by the love of the people that he kept coming back. On October 15, 2023, this was his last Sunday to attend where he was so incredibly moved by the song, "I speak Jesus," which was sang by the First Baptist Dallas Choir. To hear him express how moved he was by this song and the love of the people expressed toward him at this wonderful church, was such an incredible blessing that no words can express.
Robert has always been a thoughtful, generous giver of gifts and lots of love. He always made time to help others when they were in need. He truly had a heart of compassion and empathy. He will be deeply missed by all those who were close to him.
Robert is survived by his mother, Angela Butcher, his brother Tyler Butcher, and his father Robert Butcher Jr, grandma, several aunts, uncles, and lots of cousins, who all loved him dearly.
A celebration of life for Robert will be held at 409 Marbrook Ct, Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
