Robert Edwin "Bob" Larrabee passed away peacefully at age 79 in Denton on October 24, 2015 of natural causes. Bob was born in Stillwater, OK to Edwin Stevens Larrabee and Miriam Jones Larrabee along with brother William C. Larrabee and sister Lois Larrabee Hill. He is a graduate of Stillwater High School and Oklahoma State University where he was a member of Lamda Chi Alpha fraternity. Bob was trained in rocketry while in the U.S. Army and proudly worked in civil service for the U.S. Department of Defense, retiring after 32 years. In addition to Oklahoma, Bob made homes in Ridgecrest, CA, Huntsville, AL, Plano, TX, and Argyle, TX. His passions included flying and classic cars. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Jean Larrabee, daughter Katherine Louise "Kathi" Larrabee Hakim, son David Edwin Larrabee (wife Heather), nieces Debra Larrabee, Carol Larrabee, and Helen Hill, nephew Stephen Hill, grandchildren Jennifer Dobson (husband Dustin), Roger Hakim, Alex Hakim, Miles Hakim, Caleb Larrabee, and Nathan Larrabee, and great-grandchildren Hunter, Jaron, and Kai. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister, and sons William C. Larrabee and Jerry M. Larrabee. Memorial service will be held Weds. Oct. 28th at 1:00 PM at Cross Timbers Community Church, 312 W. McKinney St. in Denton, TX. "Live Life to the Fullest." Patriot. Friend. Inspiration.
