Robert Franklin Beckner, 87, of Granbury, died Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Keller Oaks Healthcare in Keller, TX.
Mr. Beckner was born on June 12, 1929 in Aubrey to Eulas Franklin and Mildred (Harper) Beckner. He served as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corp in the Korean War and received the Korean Service Medal. He was married to Regina Cupit on May 30th, 1992 in Dallas Texas. He received a master's degree in education from North Texas State University.
Robert is survived by his wife, Regina Beckner of Granbury; daughter, Julie Potter of Midlothian; stepdaughters, Sue Hickey of North Richland Hills, Sandy Poole of Duncanville, Terrie Beckner of Fort Worth; sons, Brian Beckner of Lewisville, Mark Beckner of Granbury; stepson, Greg Mears of Acworth Georgia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Clark Beckner; sister, Edith Mulkey; brothers, Jerry Beckner and James Beckner.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 24, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Park, 3801 Roselawn Dr., Denton TX 76201.
