Robert Tyler Austin, Lance Corporal, United States Marine Corps., age 19, of Corinth, Texas died as a result of an automobile accident Saturday, October 10, 2009 in Escondido, California.  Lance Corporal Austin was born April 3, 1990 in Lewisville, Texas to Robert Austin and Christine Lawson.  He Graduated from Lake Dallas High School 2008 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2007.  He completed boot camp November 2008 in San Diego, California; A-School March 2009 and was assigned to Twenty-Nine Palms, California as his permanent duty station, March 2009.  He was the acting shop supervisor as a diesel mechanic.  Lance Corporal Austin is survived by his father, Robert Austin and step-mother, Cherry Austin of Corinth, Texas; mother, Christine Lawson; fiancée Chelsea McCann of Corinth; sisters, Ashley Austin, Brittany Staff of Corinth, Tiffany Austin of Denton and Zoe Austin of Watson, OK; brothers, Andrew Austin of Corinth and Zachary Austin of Watson, OK; grandparents, Darlene Austin of Lewisville, Bobby Austin of Sherman, Bob Lawson of Oregon, Jerry Pirtle of Mesquite, Darold and Kay Burt of Dallas;  aunt and uncle, Daniel and Amy Austin of Floresville as well as many other relatives, friends and fellow Marines.  Visitation will be Sunday, October 18th from 5pm to 7pm.  Funeral service will be Monday, October 19th at 11am with Pastor Ray Harper officiating in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 S.
