Gamon
November 24, 1952 – July 21, 2025
Ricky Wayne Gamon passed away at his home in Krum, TX surrounded by family on July 21, 2025 after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born in Ardmore, OK on November 24, 1952 to residents of Healdton, OK Jack and Hazel (Lee) Gamon.
He was preceded in death by both his parents and is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cynthia (Wilson) Gamon; daughters, Jessica Ridley (Jordan) and Jamie Mayhue (Jacob); five grandchildren, Cray and Connor Ridley, McKenna Hyder, Emery Rogers and Avery Mayhue; two great grandkids, Kamdyn and Layten Rogers all of Krum, TX. Also, brother, Jack Gamon Jr; sisters, Deena Parks and Sonjia Gamon, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Rick's career began at an early age as a maintenance mechanic where he lost his arm in 1980. After this he found his true calling in the landscaping business as Trees Inc. There was no job too big or tree too large for him to concur. He was skilled at directing a tree just where it should or should not fall. Rick was the owner of Trees Inc for more than 40 years. This was his true calling from God.
Rick was also an avid hunter and an extreme collector of all things vintage, the older the better. Rick was a true blessing to his family that he loved more than life itself.
