Richard "Dick" Willis, 82, of Krum passed away on June 23, 2014 in Denton. Dick was born in Groesbeck, TX on February 7, 1932 the son of Medlege Buford Willis and Vernon Sherrod Willis. Dick was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God and served in the U.S. Air Force. Dick also owned & operated Dick Willis Appliances on the square in downtown Denton for many years. Later on he also worked for McDuff Appliances before retiring to spend more time with family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 50 years Glenda Hughes Willis; three brothers and four sisters. Dick is survived by his three daughters; Debbie Wade and husband Lynn of Sanger; Cindy Parsons and husband Rex of Sanger and Angie Willis of Denton; sister Shirley Ratliff of Flint, TX; brother Bill Willis of Jacksonville, TX; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 26, 2014 at 11:00a.m. at the Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God with Pastor Randy Snow officiating. A visitation will be from 10-11am at the church on the same day of the service. A private family graveside service will follow in the Jackson Cemetery in Krum, TX.
