Richard C. Scoggins, 81, of Denton passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at his home. He was born May 1, 1928 in Navo, Denton County, TX to James Wm. And Dora (Byrom) Scoggins. He was a graduate of Public Schools, and served in the U. S. Army and the National Guard. He was married to Carolyn May Gentry on December 27, 1948 in Decatur, TX He was a retired printer and a member of the St. Andrew Presbyterian Church.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Oak St. Denton, with Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton for visitation on Friday, January 22, 2010 from 7 P.M. until 9 P. M.. Mr. Scoggine is survived by his wife Carolyn May Scoggins of Denton, daughters Phoebe Felts and husband Larry, of Denton, Lydia Oyster of Denton sons, Dickie Scoggins of Denton, Daren Scoggins of Denton, and Craig Scoggins and wife Stacey of Argyle, and a Brother, Mack Scoggins of Highland Village, Six Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren.
