RICHARD PETR

Son, brother, husband, dad, grandpa. Craftsmen, painter, printmaker, homebuilder, scout leader, wood carver, woods walker, tinkerer, wanderer, and on and on. Held close his wife Shanna for 34 years. Guided his children Kasi and Nic, and grandchildren Seth and Cadence. Cherished his ten siblings and loving parents, Edward (2000) and Jeanne. Stoically but fiercely loved his entire family.

Born 2 October 1954, Ric died in his sleep of cancer on 25 April 2018 surrounded by his family in the home he spent 20 years making beautiful. We are all better for having known him.

To hold him in their memory are his mother Jeanne and his siblings: Matt (Holmdel, NJ), Greg, Jeff (Riverdale), Marge Tilberg (Mitchell, SD), Joan Coble, Jacque Armstrong (Lincoln), Larry (Knoxville, TN), John (Kearney), Steve (Fort Smith, AR), and Ann Harms.

A private family service will be held and a public memorial service will take place at a later date.
