Richard R. Faullin, 83, of Oak Point, passed from this life to be with the Lord Monday August 1, 2011.
Richard was born on August 3, 1927 in St. Joseph, Illinois to Redmond Claypool and Adelia A. (Huston) Faullin, and married Joyce Burns on November 1, 1953 in Owensboro, KY. He served his country in the United States Army of Occupation after WWII and received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois. Richard was a Sales Engineer for General Electric for over thirty-three years and worked for Collmer Semiconductor for four years until his retirement. He was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Dodge Brothers Club, Antique Automobile Club of America and the Southwest Tool Collector's Association.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday August 3, 2011 at the Mulkey Mason Funeral Home in Denton. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday August 4, 2011 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Aubrey. Rev. Liz Moen will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Stan Faullin, Rick Newell, Sam Longbottom, James Rhoads, Scott Longbottom, Michael Newell.
Richard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Faullin of Oak Point; daughters, Janet Longbottom of Huntsville, TX, Diana Rhoads of Plano, TX, Susan Newell of Argyle, TX; son, Stan Faullin of Round Rock, TX; sister, Sherrill Sprowl of Crest Hill, Illinois; brother, Jack Faullin of Champaign, Illinois; grandchildren, Andrea, Scott, Stephen, Allison, Jaclyn, Stephanie, Brittany, Shannon, Michelle, Michael, Sierra, Chase, Akari, Anthony; great grandchildren, Austin, Zaine, Kaden, Ethan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Faullin.
