Richard E. Farmer, age 85, of Highland Village, passed away Friday,
December 21, 2007, in Lewisville.
He was born May 12, 1922 in Bloomington, Illinois to John Curtis Farmer and Elnora Hagny Farmer. Richard served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He married Anna Lee Browder who preceded him in death on September 21, 2002. Richard was a charter member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Flower Mound. The church actually began in the home of Richard and Anna. He was one of the first 50 employees hired by Texas Instruments and began working on January 1, 1951 and retired January 1, 1986.
He is survived by his sisters, Ruth Condon of Lewisville; nephew, Jerry Huffer; nieces,
Leah Huffer and Ruth Anne Clayton and numerous others nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at Lamb of God Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Dallas. Pastor Wayne Braun will officiate the service. The family requests memorial contributions made to Lamb of God Lutheran Church building fund. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville is in charge of arrangements.
