Richard Edward Smith, 67, of Krugerville Texas, passed away on Saturday August 14th at his home. He was born January 26, 1943 in Hazard, KY to James Daniel and Lois Marie (Meyers) Smith. He was employed by the Lake Dallas Independent School District in the Maintenance Department until his retirement. He was married to Rae Nell Causseaux on June 10, 1995 in Lake Dallas, and was a member of the Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday August 17 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX with Mitch Raines and Leland Smith officiating. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Monday August 16 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of Krugerville, Mother Lois Marie Smith of Elida, OH, daughters Sherri Lynn Bocanegra, of Anna, Amy Marie Betbeze of Richardson, step-daughter, Carol Jeanne' Robinson of Aubrey, son Richard Tobias Smith of Dallas, and step sons Joseph Bruce Causseaux of Lewisville and Jon Phillip Causseaux of Columbus, OH, sisters, Gerry Lynn Koch of Lima, OH Annabella Riffle, of Elida, Oh, and brother Leland J. Smith of Lawton, OK. Nine Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.
