Obituary

Richard "Ricky" Lynn Bloomer, 58 passed away on February 10, 2023 in Decatur.

Ricky was born on June 5, 1964 in Lemoore, California to Phillip and Jean Bloomer.  Ricky grew up in Grandview, Texas where he graduated from High School in 1982.  Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.  After his military service he was employed in the hospitality industry where he loved to serve and take care of other people.  Rick married Nancy Kay Curry in 2005 in Marshall, Texas.  Ricky loved the Lord and shared his faith in Jesus Christ with everyone.  He was an avid reader, student and teacher of the word of God.  His dream was to always be in the ministry in some capacity.  He was a member of the Greater International Healing and Deliverance Center.  He was involved in the Convoy for Hope organization and several mission trips.  His hobbies were cooking, artwork, Christian music, and watching baseball and golf.  He loved his family and fishing, so much so that his ashes will be laid rest at Lake Texoma.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 17 years, Nancy Bloomer of Corpus Christi; his mother, Elizabeth Jean Anderson; father, Phillip Bloomer; brother, Jim Bloomer; son Ricky Jr, and his wife Stevie and granddaughter Ari; and several nieces and nephews.
