Regina Gaye Pitt, 55, of Krum, died Monday October 10, 2011, at Denton Good Samaritan Village after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Regina was born on November 29, 1955 in Denton, daughter of Joe and Imogene (Dalton) Evans. She graduated from Krum High School and worked with special needs people.
Regina was a lover of animals, especially horses and dogs. In her final days country music made her time more bearable.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday October 14, 2011 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. Rev. Virgil Aldag will officiate the service. She was of the Methodist faith. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
She is survived by her mother, Imogene Evans of Denton; daughter, Shannon Pitt of Krum; sister, Sharon Griffith of Denton; brother, Joe Evans Jr. of Denton; grandson, Case Pitt of Krum. She is also survived by 2 aunts, Anna Dalton Walker of Big Spring, Tx. and Nancy Evans Graham of Texas City, Tx; 3 nephews, Scott Griffith of Fort Worth, Tx., Chad Griffith of Dallas, Tx. and Joe B. Evans III of Bowie, Tx.; 2 nieces, Lindsay Griffith of Dallas, Tx. and Lydia Evans of Bowie, Tx.; and several cousins.
