Rebecca "Becky" Goode aka "Meme", a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 24, 2026, at her home in Sanger, Texas, surrounded by the warmth and love of family. Born on April 11, 1951, Becky lived a life rich in love and devotion, leaving behind a legacy that will forever echo in the hearts of her family and friends.
Becky’s journey in this world was marked by an extraordinary capacity to nurture and cherish those around her. She shared her life with her devoted husband, Larry Goode, whose love and companionship stood as a pillar of strength and a source of laughter throughout their 57 years together. Their bond was the foundation of a family that grew to include their son, Tanto Goode, and his wife, Kelli, who themselves have added love and laughter through life and with their children. Her daughter, Christy Goode who echos her mother's love and laughter, alongside Clint Middleton, who enriched Becky’s later years with unwavering support and affection.
The joy Becky found in family was perhaps most vividly seen in her proud role as a grandmother. Holly Ha’ae, Trevor Goode with his wife Shayla, Peyton Punches, Tanner Goode and his wife Tabitha, and Macey Punches were constants of happiness in her life. Each grandchild was a testament to the love she nurtured, fostering bonds that will continue to grow and bring comfort to her memory. This love blossomed further through her great-grandchildren—Lathan, Carter, River, Maverick, and Everett—who represent the living legacy of Becky’s nurturing spirit.
Although the pain of loss accompanies the grief, there is solace in remembering those whom Becky joins in heaven. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Miller "Papa" and beloved mother, Mama Gene (Geneva Miller), whose love shaped Becky’s early years, and her three cherished brothers: Bobby Golden, Pat Golden, and Mike Golden. The memory of these family members remains a precious part of Becky’s story, a reminder of the bonds that sustained her throughout her life.
Becky's life was a beautiful tapestry of devotion, kindness, and an enduring love that embraced each member of her family. Her passing leaves a profound void, but her spirit shines brightly—a beacon of comfort and inspiration for all who knew her. As her family gathers to honor her memory, they reflect on the countless moments of joy she gave them, holding her close in their hearts forever.
