Obituary

Raymond Clay Stone, 87, of Denton, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born April 2, 1924 in Argyle, TX to Alvin William and Ruby Margaret (Robertson) Stone. He attended Public Schools and was a retired self employed Carpenter. He served in WW II in the U S Army 1944-1946, Normandy, Battle of the Bulge, and the Nuremburg Trials. He received 2 Purple Hearts, and two Bronze Stars. He was married to M. Ruth Turner on June 5, 1973 in Okmulgee, OK and was a member of the Gateway United Baptist Church.

Mr. Stone is survived by his wife M. Ruth Stone, of Denton, daughter, Debra Stone Isbell of Denton, and sister Marie Hill of Argyle and three Grandchildren, and Five Great Grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, June 16,2011 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 70t N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Buddy Owens, officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the funeral home from 6 P.J. until 8 P.M.
