Raymond Frank Sanino II, 56, born on September 23, 1959, was surrounded by family as he went to be with our Heavenly Father on March 17, 2016, in his home in Denton, Texas. After graduating from Penn State University, Raymond pursued a lifelong career in the aviation industry by serving in the US Air Force for 16 years as a Captain. He served as a fighter pilot during Desert Storm. After serving in the military, he continued his dream career of flying of instructing others, with the same passion, to fly as well. We like to imagine he is instructing others in heaven to use their wings to fly. Raymond is survived by his wife, Anita Carol Sanino, daughter and son-in-law, Anita Jane and Mike Brown, siblings, nieces, nephews, great-nephews and his best friend, Sam. Raymond was known by his loved ones and friends as Ray and Pappa Ray. He was always one to put a smile on everyone's face with his witty and contagious personality. He touched many people's lives, including his family, friends, coworkers, and students. He enjoyed traveling, flying, playing golf, and much more. We would like to personally thank all the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital and Liberty Dialysis for all they did to provide and prolong the best quality of life possible. Thank you Heart to Heart Hospice; special thanks to Kacey, Myra, Ike, Karen, and Tasha for their knowledge, comfort, and support during Raymond's final days. Services to be held at DFW National Cemetery on April 18, 2016, at 11:15 AM, Lane B. Interment to follow. Arrangements under the direction of Denton Funeral Home.
