Raymond Lee "Bud" Campbell, loving husband, dad and pappaw, age 73, of Lake Dallas, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008.  He died at home with his family by his side.

He was born March 22, 1935 in Slide, Texas to Wilburn Vernon Campbell and Annie Matilda Jane Hicks Campbell . Bud married Mary Jean Wassom on February 3, 1959 in Slide. He was a custom home builder owning Campbell Construction Company.

Bud is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean; daughters, Debbie Walker and husband, Tim of Corinth, Tammy Harris of Lake Dallas and Kim Laird and husband, Jerry of Corinth; 8 grandchildren, Amanda Winker and husband, Larry of Denton, Bryan Walker of Corinth; Kiley Fowler and Brock Harris of Lake Dallas and Amy, Cody, Cole and Carla Laird of Corinth; 6 great-grandchildren, Dylan Bartts, Payton, Emaleigh and Colton Fowler of Lake Dallas, Lillie Winker and Baby Winker (due in November) of Denton; and sisters, Helen Hall of Desoto and Maxine Hastey and husband, Joe of Haskell, Texas. Bud was preceded in death by one grandchild, Jason Laird on August 8, 2006.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2008, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Interment will follow at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas. Chaplain Dan Bellar will officiate the service. Pallbearers are Jimmy Lindsey, Joel Lindsey, Sammy Hastey, Kelly hastey, Walter Lee and Jerry Lee.  The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
