Randy Charles Snider, 54, of Denton, died Saturday July 26, 2008 in Denton of natural causes. Randy was born February 22, 1954 in Denton to Gerald and Margaret (Selby) Snider. He was a gifted sculptor. He loved the Native-American culture and, through his chosen medium of sandstone, sought to convey the dignity and heritage of the Plains Indian. He was known by many as "tepee man".
Survivors include his cherished daughter, and husband of Denton; sisters, Enid Shanahan of Paris and Sherrill Niederer of Argyle; brothers, Tim Snider of Argyle, Tony Snider of Wylie and Dr. Ron Snider of Danville, AR. He is also survived by his two beautiful grandchildren, and mother, Margaret Snider of Argyle.
An outdoor memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 10 at 6:30 PM on the grounds of The Country Abbey, 116 North Jackson, Justin, Texas. For map and directions, go to www.thecountryabbey.com.
