Ramon Martinez Jr. was born to Ramon Martinez and Dominga Martinez on September 4th, 1944. He grew up in the Robstown, Corpus Christi, TX area. He was a self-employed truck driver for most of his life. As all the Martinez boys, he was not a saint, but was the most generous, loving person you could have ever known. He had a very funny sense of humor. He loved all his family very much. He was like a second father to all his nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed, but we take comfort knowing he is reunited with all his love ones in heaven.
He is survived by his sisters, Lisa Gonzalez of San Antonio, TX and Linda Villareal of Corpus Christi, TX; his nieces, Dianne Botello, Ann Marie Perez, and Cynthia Garcia all of Corpus Christi, TX, and Sandra Ann Martinez, Chelsea Martinez, and Joann Yzaguirre, all of Denton, TX, Darlene Ramos of Robstown, TX, and Andria Martinez of Mathis, TX; his nephews, Arturo Julian Martinez Jr., Bobby Joel Martinez, and Dustin Martinez all of Denton, TX, Sam Garcia of Corpus Christi, TX, Alfredo Martinez Jr. and Raymond Martinez of Robstown, TX, thirty great nieces and nephews, and seven great-great nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Kristin and Dawn Rodriguez who gave him all their love and special attention to the very end.
