Rachel Virginia Lanham was born Sept. 12, 1916 in Holland, Texas. At the age of 101 Virginia moved to her new home in heaven about 2:30 PM Friday, July 27, 2018. She grew up on a farm in San Saba, Texas and married W. Roy Tisdale in 1937. She raised three children: Larry and twins, Patrick and Pennie. She was a diligent mother and wife, pouring her life into family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 yrs, her parents, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her three children: Larry Tisdale and wife, Sheri of Muenster, TX; Pat Tisdale and wife, Lynne of Keller, TX; Pennie Doss and husband, Melvin of Peoria, Arizona; 8 grandchildren: Teena Haley, Cindy Yung, Joy Black, Alan Doss, Michael Doss, Holly Dale, Emily Romero, and Julianna Braswell; 16 great-grandchildren: Tiffany, Amanda, Ryan, Zachary, Rachel, Joshua, Kristen, Courtney, Jessica, Emalee, Alexzandra, Chad, Nathan, David, Jonathan, and Analynne; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
